Applied Environmental is a Herndon, Virginia based woman-owned small business providing professional environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety consulting services to both the private sector and government clients. Incorporated in 1986, our firm, with a staff of over 30 multi-discipline environmental professionals, has consistently demonstrated continuous growth.

We offer extensive hazardous materials management project experience. This includes hazardous material surveys (e.g. asbestos and lead paint), project design and specifications, abatement monitoring, and cost estimating. Our project monitoring experience includes project documentation and management of work performed by abatement contractors. We also have a full service Industrial Hygiene (IH) Division that performs services such as: Training, OSHA compliance monitoring, (e.g. noise, dust, chemical), and other IH support services.

We offer complete Indoor Air Quality evaluations, including proactive and reactive surveys. In addition, Applied Environmental has technicians specifically trained in mold analysis and remediation design.

Our experience includes storm water management, recycling surveys and analysis, greenhouse gas analysis, pollution prevention plans, environmental assessments and compliance audits, supporting LEED certification for new construction and operations of existing buildings, performing chemical inventories and developing green cleaning programs. In addition, we routinely perform Environmental Site Assessments, site characterizations, water/wastewater sampling, underground tank removal design and oversight, site remediation designs and ambient air quality analysis modeling  (non-attainment areas).
