Applied Environmental, Inc., based in Herndon, Virginia, provides environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and safety consulting support to private industry and government clients. Incorporated in 1986, the firm started with two employees and has demonstrated continuous growth with now over 40 employees. The goal of Applied Environmental, Inc. is to respond to the needs of our clients quickly and cost effectively while delivering exceptional quality. Our staff currently includes professionals who have achieved the designation of Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Registered Professional Geologist (PG). The firm's senior professional staff is supported with mid and junior level industrial hygienists, indoor air quality specialists, safety engineers, environmental scientists and engineers, and field technicians.

The following immediate opportunities exist for career oriented professionals to work with the Applied Environmental Team at our dynamic environmental consulting firm based in Herndon, VA:
Industrial Hygiene Technologists-Entry Level
Work involves compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Training will be provided. AS/BS/BA degrees in the sciences preferred.
Indoor Air Quality Specialist
Understanding of IAQ inspection and sampling protocols and at least 3 years experience desired. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. AS/BS/BA degrees in the sciences are preferred.
Entry Level PLM/PCM Asbestos Analyst/HazMat Inspector
Position involves in-house laboratory and field work performing analysis of asbestos bulk and air samples, conducting asbestos and lead air sampling and environmental sampling. Prior environmental sampling experience, NIOSH 582 or equivalent PCM training and McCrone or equivalent PLM training is a plus. BS/BA degree in geology, science or related field preferred.
